It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, William E. Bradford of Bradenton FL, formerly of Dorchester and Weymouth, MA; lovingly referred to as “Pup” on December 1, 2024.
Born in Boston, MA on December 31, 1938, he was the son of the late James C. and Mary (Hare) Bradford. Bill served in the United States Army National Guard; and was a machinist by trade for many years. Upon his retirement to Florida he worked in the Manatee School System as a bus driver and crossing guard. Bill was active in the DAV, helping disabled veterans.
Bill leaves behind his children, Claire Bradford of East Bridgewater, MA; Maureen Graziano and her husband Frank of West Bridgewater, MA; and Laura Bradford of Florida. He is preceded in death by his former wife, Joanne H. Bradford, mother of his children, with whom he spent many meaningful years. He is survived by his wife, Edyth Bradford. He is also survived by his grandchildren, John, Alexandra, Nicholas, Samantha, Frankie, Tara, Jenna, Brianne, Christina and Joanne; together with his great-grandchildren: Jayden, Cameron, Noah, Olivia, Aaliyah, Wrenley and Isaak.
