Bradenton, Florida - Rudolph "Rudy" Nicholas Caminite, 90, of Bradenton, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on February 8, 2024, after a short illness. Rudy was born September 11, 1933, in London, Ontario, Canada.
Rudy met and married his wife, Marina (Lewington) in London, Ontario Canada and he worked for Coca Cola. They moved to Bradenton in 1959 to be near family. He owned his own Paper hanging and Painting business.
They also spent 7 years in North Carolina enjoying the beautiful mountains and scenery and owning a Flower Shop. When Rudy retired he wasn't happy sitting around so he had various part time jobs to keep busy.
The last 3 years he worked at his brother, Anthony's hardware store on Anna Maria Island which he enjoyed very much. His cheerful attitude and bright smile will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his son, Anthony J. Caminite, daughter, Joanne Caminite Moore (Doug), brother, Anthony P. Caminite (Carol) and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Marina, his mother and father, Cordilla & Joseph Caminite and sister, Joan Brown.
A Celebration Mass will be held February 24, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
