Robert John Macaioni of Holmes Beach known as "Bob" entered into Eternal Rest on December 26, 2023, with his loving wife, Gail Macaioni, at his side. Bob was born February 10, 1939, to Amelia and John Macaioni in Stonington, Connecticut. His parents owned a Bed & Breakfast, The Gypsy, in Misquamicut Beach Rhode Island where he spent his summers.
Bob loved his Country and had an Honorable Discharge for serving in the United States Army Reserves. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration and had a long and successful career with General Dynamics Electric Boat Division Groton Connecticut and New York. Bob retired from Electric Boat as Chief of Nuclear Quality Control at the age of 57.
Bob and Gail married in 1986 and moved from Old Lyme Connecticut to Saratoga Springs where they enjoyed golfing, Saratoga Track, and winters at their home on Anna Maria Island Florida.
Bob created many fun memories and will be missed by his children, Tammi Zieber (Charles) and Robert John Macaioni II, RJ, (Eloise) and his stepchildren, April Bell (Richard), Tracey Sikorski, and Brett Sikorski (Elizabeth). He loved all his grandchildren and great grandchildren "To the Moon and Back".
Bob and Gail moved to Anna Maria full time in 2019. Bob loved fishing in Tampa Bay Golfing and showing the Island to old friends and family. Bob will always be remembered for being able to make anyone smile, being a dapper dresser, his wisdom, and his love of dancing and singing. He brought joy to anyone who was lucky enough to meet him.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Texas and Connecticut to share our favorite stories and memories of Bob. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209, is in charge of arrangements.
