Nydia Rodriguez, a beacon of love and faith, completed her earthly journey and entered eternal rest on November 9, 2025, in Bradenton, FL. Born on November 24, 1953, in the beautiful town of Florida, Puerto Rico, Nydia's life was a testament to the power of love, passion, and intelligence that she embodied.
Nydia's early years were spent under the warm sun of Puerto Rico until her family moved to the Bronx, NY, where she graduated from Morris High School.
She furthered her education at Hunter College, demonstrating her commitment to learning and growth. Her academic journey shaped a brilliant mind that would later contribute significantly to the lives of countless students as a Paraprofessional Teacher for the Board of Education in New York City and as a Vocational Aide at the Lehigh County Vocational Technical School in Pennsylvania.
In her spiritual life, Nydia was a pillar of her community, serving as an Associate Pastor at the Harvest Gathering in Brandon, FL. Her deep Christian faith was the compass that guided her through life's storms and the light she shared with all who knew her. Nydia's passion for her faith was contagious, inspiring many to seek a deeper relationship with God.
Nydia's love story with her beloved husband, Freddie Rodriguez, was one of dedication and devotion. Although Freddie preceded her in death, their love continues to be a guiding star for their children, Anthony Rodriguez, Jeanette Rodriguez, and Justine Stillman. Nydia's legacy is also cherished by her adored grandchildren, Talyah Rodriguez, Zara, Eraya, Caiden, and Steel Stillman, each a reflection of her boundless love.
She found joy in vacationing to Vero Beach, basking in the sun at the pool or the beach, and assisting her husband with landscaping and yard work. Her hands, always ready to serve, nurtured not only the earth but also the hearts of those around her.
Nydia's life can be encapsulated by the inspiring words she lived by: "Put God at the center of your life and He will guide you through it," and "Seek the Lord in prayer daily." She embodied these truths, praying every morning before starting her day.
In a world in need of light, Nydia shined brightly-her intelligence and wisdom a beacon to those seeking knowledge, and her love a warm embrace to those in need of comfort. Let us honor her memory by living out her example: to love unconditionally, serve passionately, and believe wholeheartedly.
Although Nydia Rodriguez's earthly journey has ended, her spirit continues to motivate and uplift us. In her life, she was a pastor, an assistant teacher, a mentor, and a loving matriarch. Her story does not end here; it is carried forward in the lives of those she touched for generations to come. As we remember Nydia, let us carry her light within us, illuminating our paths and warming the hearts of those we meet. Until we meet again, dear Nydia, rest in the glory of the Lord Jesus you so fervently loved.
The family kindly requests that those wishing to send flowers consider choosing orchids or potted plants.
