Linda Marie Gray

Linda Gray, 68, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away September 21, 2026. Born May 9, 1958, in Newbury Berkshire, England, Linda had lived in Bradenton since 1962.

Though Linda may have chosen a career in nursing over veterinary science because, “people can tell you where it hurts, animals can’t”, nursing was her calling and she devoted herself to each and every patient she encountered in her 41-year career at both Blake Medical Center and Manatee Memorial Hospital.

The water was truly Linda’s happy place. Whether kayaking or boating in Tampa Bay, snorkeling in the Keys or just floating in her pool, Linda found calm and great joy being on, in, or near the water. She was also an avid gardener and skilled cook.

Linda is survived by her mother, Marie Geldert; brother, Karl Geldert; her son, Chris and daughter-in-law, Lauren; daughter, Kiley and son-in-law, Tyler. She will be deeply missed by her four grandchildren. Linda’s memory will live on through her family whose lives have been enriched by her unwavering love and support. She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred Geldert.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, October 11, 2026, between 1 and 3 pm at the Galleria Building, Palma Sola Botanical Park (9800 17th ave NW, Bradenton, FL 34209).

In lieu of flowers, the family asks a donation to be made in Linda’s name to Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation (fcsf.org). They also encourage you to be like Linda and take your grandkid for ice cream, read a book in the pool or go enjoy the beach.

Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street, Bradenton, Florida, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
