Katherine Cox-Renner passed away on February 26, 2024, surrounded by family at the age of 72 years old. She fought a lengthy battle with leukemia, but we of course, had hoped to have more time with her.
Katherine Cox- Renner, the oldest of six children was born in Hayti, MO, but grew up in Cruthersville, MO. She later moved to Florida where she married and started a family. While raising her family, she went to school at night and became a medical assistant. The family frequently moved between Colorado and Florida before finally settling in Florida. In her later years, she raised her two grandchildren in the midst of the beautiful Ocala Forest.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Jessica Preble and Taresa Smith; her sister, Cindy Pillsbury; brothers, Gary Cox, Troy Cox, and Larry Cox. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Evan Preble, Benjamin Preble, Sebastian Preble, Connor Renner, Arianna Renner, Trent Smith, and Draven Smith, also extended cousins, aunts, uncles as well as many other caring friends.
Kathy was known for her caring nature and always put everyone's needs before her own. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
The Funeral Service will be 11 AM, Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Brown & Sons Funeral Homes 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton FL, 34209.
