Bradenton, Florida - Joyce LaVerne Weldon, 84, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2023.
She was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 41 years, Cecil Ray Weldon, SR., her siblings, Harold Williams, Billy Williams, Edwin Williams, Doris Johnson, and a daughter, Teresa Carnes Martin.
She was born in Bradenton, Florida to Willie and Mary Williams
She leaves to celebrate her life, a sister, Dorothy Barrett, her children, Sharon Masters (Melinda), Sandra Weldon, Cecil "Ray" Weldon, Jr., Janet Bell (Marty) and Lisa Walker (Otis), son-in-law Aubrey Martin, her grandchildren, Lee Ann Albury, Melissa Durham (Kentrell), Andrew Martin (Kimberly), Jessica Herrera (Matthew), Jamie Marshall, Carrie Warrens, Danielle Weldon, Emily Gibb (Jason), Jerron Walker, Jasmine Walker and Alexter Albury.
She also leaves behind 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
She was a CNA, who provided a loving home to those in need and also cared for patients in facilities for many years.
She enjoyed fishing and traveling, something she acquired from her parents as they traveled extensively during her childhood. She and her husband continued this tradition with their children, traveling in a motor home to numerous states creating memories they still hold dear.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Ganey and Westminster Manor for the care and attention provided to our mother in her time of need. It is greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
