Harold John Huehn of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Alden, NY, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on November 27, 2025.
Beloved husband of the late Shirley Mae (Stobie) Huehn, and dear father to Debra (George) Erckert, Karen Cox, Wende (James) Huehn-Brown, and the late Laura; loving grandmother of Jamielyn (J.C.) Herod, Peter Erckert, Ean, Justin and Jacob Brown; cherished great-grandfather of Erica and Brett; second father to Lianna Ezzo and the late Brian Cox; and dear friend to Claude Brown and his National Fuel Gas gang. Harold is predeceased by brothers, Roland, Arnold, Oscar, and Elmer; sisters Helen Baumman and Alma Geil.
He proudly served in the Army 128 Signal Corp as Staff Sargent (1953-1956) and the National Guard (1956-1961). He worked 38 years at National Fuel Gas and enjoyed retirement since 1995. He served as a Meals on Wheels volunteer, loved to wear colorful plaid shirts, complete word searches, play BINGO, travel, camping, listen to country music, play horseshoes, and play his ukulele around campfires.
A celebration of life will be held at a time to be announced. Those wishing may make memorials to Tidewell Hospice
