Donna Hughes, 90, of Bradenton, Florida was called home by our Lord on November 24, 2024.Donna was born on August 19, 1934, in Avon Lake, Ohio. She was raised in the Marysville/ Yuba City, California area.
Eventually she moved on to South Saint Paul, Minnesota where she met and married her loving husband, Jerome Hughes. After nearly 23 years of marriage, Jerome passed away and Donna moved to Bradenton to enjoy the warmth and sunshine of Florida.
Donna loved golf, reading, cooking, occasional traveling, and attending mass at Saints Peter and Paul Church. She especially enjoyed visiting friends from her neighborhood (Mount Vernon and Freedom Village) or whom she met at Bealls, local golf courses and church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, twin brother Donald, sisters Willetta and Charlett (Chickie). She is survived by her sister Kerry, nephew, nieces, stepchildren and grandnephews.
Donna will be dearly missed by many, especially her niece Beverly (Bill) Brandon of Smartsville, California, nephew Charles (Janina) Rose of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and stepson, John Hughes (Palmetto, Fl).
The family will announce plans for an interment of ashes/memorial service at a later date.
