Dona Marie Beard went home to be with the Lord, her husband, “Butch” (deceased), her mother, Martha (deceased), father, Glen (deceased) and brother, Claude (deceased) on July 19, 2023, at the age of 76.
She was born on October 16, 1946, in Mobile, Alabama. Dona is loved and deeply missed by her many family members and friends.
Dona is known for her big laugh and beautiful smile, her love of sci-fi movies, NASCAR, James Patterson books, all things tech, Hallmark Christmas movies and how proud she was of her beautiful family.
Dona is known as “Mom” to her 3 wonderful children, Kenny (Michele), Kimberly & Ashley (Sergio); the beloved “Nana” to her grandkids, Patrick (Shay), David, Cheyenne (Ron), Sierra (Bryce), Jessica, Jordin, Maya, Tatiana, Rio and Tarik; great grandkids, Aiyanna, Jory, Bryndle and Gracie; “Aunt Dona” to her nieces and nephews, Joel, John (Amy), Jake (Misty), Christina (Wesley), Tammy, Tracy (Mark) and Teresa and “Sister” to her lifelong best friend, Glenda. As well as her aunts and uncle, cousins, great nieces and nephews and many other valued family members and friends.
In Dona’s last days she worshipped the Lord, “ran” a 5k with her grandson, saw the new Indiana Jones movie, played endless rounds of “trouble” and had a lot of heart to heart conversations.
Today, she is sitting at the Lord’s table in a spot prepared just for her, listening to the angels sing and enjoying a wonderful feast with her savior and family.
A Memorial Service will be held to honor Dona's life at 1 PM, Monday, July 31, 2023, at The Bridge Church, 4000 75th St W, Bradenton, FL 34209. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be made to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
