Diedre Renee Ramos, affectionately known as Dee-Dee, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 51 on March 23, 2025, in Sarasota, FL. She was born in St. Petersburg, FL, on November 11, 1973.

Dee-Dee was the beloved daughter of Ernest Spikes and Ermogene Yvonne Thomas. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Gil Ramos, with whom she shared many cherished moments. Dee-Dee's legacy continues through her children: 25-year-old daughter Ya'Fia Sharai Norman, 14-year-old daughter Aliyah Sharai Ramos, and fur-baby (Yorkie) Olivia Rosa Ramos. She was a beloved sister to her sister Connie Spikes, brother Ernest Spikes III and his wife Rose, and brother Danny Spikes and his wife China.

First and foremost, Dee-Dee loved Jesus Christ! Her favorite bible scripture was Psalm 91. She always left her bible open to Psalm 91 and was often heard calling on the Lord to protect the family. She made monthly donations to several charities.

Dee-Dee was an exceptional dental hygienist for more than 20 years. She primarily worked as a contractor servicing numerous dental offices all over Central Florida. Her patients loved her and often requested to be put on her schedule. Dee-Dee received countless offers to work full-time, but she never accepted an offer until she landed at Krause Dental. Although, her tenure was short, she was finally fulfilled and at peace. Dee-Dee really loved the team.

Dee-Dee enjoyed date nights with Gil, spending quality time with her daughters, and camping in the living room on family movie nights. She was notorious for serenading us in Spanish, mimicking others, and acting goofy. Dee-Dee created wonderful celebrations and many special moments for her family.

Dee-Dee had an eye for fashion and a passion for sunflowers, peacocks, candles, and anything that sparkled. She collected cultural art pieces and rare Barbie dolls. Other pastimes that she enjoyed were health spas and shopping. She loved hunting for a good bargain.

Dee-Dee was a brilliant light and a woman of great strength and character. Her presence and spirit touched the hearts of all who knew her.

As we say goodbye to Dee-Dee we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and meaningful connections. Her life will be celebrated at a later date. She will be laid to rest in a place of tranquility, where her memory will be honored for generations to come.
