Bradenton, Florida -
Billie-Earle Deane (Livingston) went to her heavenly home Monday, March 18, 2024. Billie graced this world 101 years sharing her love of God, Family and Community. Leaving behind a legacy of love, strength and grace.
She passed peacefully with her family by her side, in her Bradenton home. Born February 28, 1923, to Lillian and Doss Livingston, Billie-Earle was a Florida native, who grew up in Bradenton, Florida. She attended Ballard Elementary and was a 1940 graduate of Bradenton High School, later renamed Manatee High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader and her class superlative was "Why gentleman prefer blondes."
Billie-Earle married a local boy, Edward H. Deane in 1945 and together they raised 5 daughters, in their hometown of Bradenton, Darleen-Gail, Karren-Ann, Terrie-Lind (Rick), Edie-Hope (Steve) and Bonnie-Earle (Robby) Deane.
Billie-Earle was predeceased by her husband: Edward H. Deane, son: Billy Earl Deane, daughter: Gail Deane Morrison, siblings: Doris Coker, Jimmy Livingston, Glenn Livingston, grandson: Robert Faith Goodman and great-granddaughter: Mae Livingston Watson.
Billie-Earle left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew her... especially her 14 grandchildren: Edward, Michelle, Richard, Stacie, Scott, Jamie, Travis, Daniel, Chandler, Alexandra, Brittany, Candice, Robert Faith and Shea, along with 28 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Billie took great pride in raising her family and contributing to her beloved Bradenton community. She played a pivotal role as a founding member of her church, Trinity United Methodist. Local service clubs and organizational boards benefited from her participation and service: Beta Sigma Phi, Bradenton Woman's Club, Manatee Players Theatre, Manatee Art League, YMCA, Manatee Garden Club Founders Circle, Bradenton Yacht Club-Galley Maids, and various PTA's. As one of the founders of the Desoto Heritage Festival's Children's Parade, Billie served as the 2022 Grand Marshall. Billie-Earle supported her husband, Ed Deane, as he held leadership roles in the Desoto Heritage Festival, as President, Chairman and 1961 Hernando Desoto. She and Ed took pleasure in hosting the annual Hernando Desoto Dignitary Reception at their home for many years, welcoming Dignitaries from Barcarrota, Spain and others throughout the country.
In honoring Billie's memory, let us strive to embody the same compassion, strength, and grace that she so effortlessly exuded. May her light continue to guide us, reminding us always of the power of love, family and the beauty of a life well-lived.
