James (Jim) Patrick Walsh Jr., 64 years old of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on January 28, 2024. Jim was a man who fought hard thru various medical issues in his last years. He was a man who was jovial, had a great smile, had wit, was fun-loving and spoke what he thought without a filter and lived an active full life.
He had a knack of seeing things in people internally and would always offer up ways to talk with them and try to help. He was rough and tough but also had a soft spot and had a heart of gold. He came from a very large Irish family.
Jim adored his wife of 35 years, Janice and loved his large family but mostly he loved Jesus his entire life! He took opportunities any chance he could, to share the Gospel message with family, friends, co-workers and strangers. He loved taking yearly vacations with his wife, as well attending family gatherings, community events and sports functions. Jim had a great passion for acting and the theatre as well.
Jim was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1959 and grew up in Lindenhurst, Illinois, where he attended Prince of Peace Catholic Grammar School and then graduated from Antioch Community High School.
He studied at College of Lake County in Illinois and attended Western Illinois University for Marketing. He then went on to become General Manager for various nationwide corporate retail chains for some 30 years. Jim was married to his wife Janice in 1989 and lived in Florida for some 36 years, and resided in Bradenton, Florida for the past 10 years.
Jim has left behind his loving wife, Janice and her family members, Jim's siblings-Sharon Platko and her husband, John, Jeanne McGowan and her husband, Tim, Janet Amberman and her husband, Steve, and Tim Walsh, and his wife, Cindy, as well Jim's, Uncle, John Hoffman and his wife, Beth, Aunt Kathleen (Walsh) O'Brien and her husband, Jim, Aunt Patsy (Walsh) Miller, Aunt Noreen (Walsh) Roth and her husband, Chuck, Maureen (Walsh) Lee and her husband, Dr. Eugene Lee, and Aunt AnnMarie (Walsh) Barkus and her husband, Ray.
