If approved as proposed, under Policy 2.1.2.7. which requires the review of all proposed development for compatibility... The implementation mechanism will require development conditions to be "voluntarily proffered" as opposed to being mandated by the commission. Further proof that developers are being given the upper hand in the land use decision-making process.

States that declined to send representation did themselves a disservice. NJ's governor declined to participate, but fortunately, Cape May County saw the PR value of showcasing what their county (many shore communities) has to offer. They used part of their annual Tourism budget to fund their exhibit, and the reviews have been wonderful. On social media, some claimed the expense was upwards of $500,000, which is not true. Also, other states sought donations from private industry or large companies. This was a wonderful opportunity for any state to reach potential tourists, not just from within the US but also those visiting from other countries.

— lots of folks are working for the benefit of the voters: Jolly, Vindman, Kirschner, etc., work to get them elected to represent the voters - the cabal is going to throw a fortune into their efforts to keep control — this voter win is especially important now if we are going to fight their corruption — make sure you vote for your own benefit and promote the candidates who intend to work for that among your contacts

— have not been back to Publix since they began to allow "open carry" in their stores, an invitation to an inevitable tragedy in a grocery store... their recent attempt to win customers back with posting "suggestions" that folks not do just that, just fails to make sense, and provides no solution to the problem they created. What purpose is served by allowing open carry in a grocery store? No thank you, I'd rather not be caught in that inevitable tragedy.

Another good endorsement. As much as I respect Dr, McCann, we need to make our own decisions about the best candidate for the county-wide Dist 6 seat. I urge voters to listen to the above interviews. Mr. Ference is the kind of common sense, work-boot wearing, plain-speaking grass roots candidate that would stand up to developers. But he also has the utility, solid waste, landfill, water and sewer knowledge to call BS when county administrators propose dumb ideas like signing a $12 million, 20-year contract to rent a generator from FPL. The current board rarely, if ever, questions this administration (Staff=the administration). This BoCC refuses to hold the administration accountable. My fear is that citizens will not do their homework and split their vote between Ference and Calovich, allowing the Siddique/Kruse endorsed establishment choice Tara Pouton to win the seat. That would be a disaster. Again, please listen to the interviews. In contrast to Mr. Ference knowledge, Ms Poulton admits the only thing she knows about water is that it comes on when you turn the faucet. But worse, instead of answering questions, Ms Poulton answers like the career political spokesperson she is. When asked about limiting clearcutting, she says we need to bring the developers into the conversation. She says there are 3 sides to the story. When asked about overdevelopment, she seems to not be aware, saying "growth is coming, whether we like it or not, some would say it is already here." When asked about her plans and positions, she answers with politi-speak "I want to build relationships" and "we need to establish trust." Those are not answers, those are political evasions. Please, lets do our homework. We only get this one chance to get it right. The Bradenton Times knows the issues and has made the right conclusion.

“Overreach” is when the Free State of Florida “reaches” into local government issues and tells them what to do - ie SB 180. E-bike speed is a safety issue Governor. Just saying . . .

This newly signed SB 4-F and the HJR 1-F amendment are deceptive slip-throughs designed to trick voters with campaign slogans while actively penalizing regular people. While wealthy homeowners get a headline-grabbing break, the fine print secretly shifts the burden onto struggling renters, drives up rent prices, and starves our local emergency services of funding. It perfectly matches the ongoing efforts in Tallahassee to take financial independence away from our local communities and hoard all the power in political hands. We see this exact same calculated pattern with the state's high 12.97% SNAP payment error rate. Lawmakers intentionally starve public agencies of the staff and resources they need to function, hide behind legislative immunity, and then label bureaucratic math mistakes as 'SNAP WASTE' just to avoid paying out food benefits to families trying to eat. Whether it is rigging local tax structures or withholding food aid, it is the same strategy: taking money away from constituents, forcing vulnerable communities to take the blame, all to funnel total control straight to the state.

There are so many resources for veterans everywhere, as there should be. Why is this event only for veterans, first responders and their families when there are so many other community members with diagnosed PTSD? Is it really that the rest of the community doesn't count?
