Hymn For Her

Hymn For Her (H4H) has toured across the country and abroad over the years, injecting juiced-up backwoods country blues with a dose of desert rock psychedelia that has been described as "Hell’s Angels meets the Amish," and "Hillbillies with electronics opening Pandora’s Box." The beloved duo, comprised of Lucy Tight and Wayne Waxing, deliver listeners folk songs with a deep roots vibe. Their instrumentation, while simple, is the perfect backing to Lucy’s moving vocals and Waxing’s tight harmonies. You won’t want to miss Hymn For Her, Friday, as they return to the CafŽ in the Park stage. No cover.

Located in Payne Park, Downtown Sarasota, Cafe in the Park captures the spirit of a quintessential urban cafe terrace. It's the perfect place for a great coffee, a fresh sandwich, and live music. Damon Fowler Band
Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen

Damon Fowler is a masterful singer, guitarist, and songwriter. His music is representative of the many styles that make up the roots of American music. Critics have compared Fowler’s guitar work to Johnny Winter and Jeff Beck, while his slide guitar is reminiscent of the late Duane Allman. Fowler is known for his fiery guitar runs, while his lyrical work on lap steel and dobro makes him a stand-out performer among guitar heroes.

The Florida native’s hybrid of roots rock, blues, songwriting, and vocals have earned him professional accolades from fellow artists and music journalists alike. The Damon Fowler Band features Fowler, drummer Justin Headley, and bassist Chuck Riley. Tickets are $20 in advance/$30 day of the performance. About the Venue:
Located in Bradenton Village of the Arts, Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen has quickly become one of Bradenton, Florida’s more popular outdoor music venues. Music is hosted on their intimate 80-seat capacity patio garden, a perfect setting under the branches of towering live oaks in the heart of VOTA. Known for his eclectic southern dining, Chef Dave Shiplett puts his creative spin on southern classics serving up his brand of southern soul food in this 100-year-old cottage that doubles as an art gallery. The venue offers craft beer, wine, a list of creative hard ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages. Reservations are recommended due to limited capacity. 1114 12th Street West, Bradenton.

Bunny & Pirates Bizarre

Steve Arvey began his career playing the Chicago blues circuit during the ’70s. During that period he shared the stage with many of the legendary blues masters from the Windy City. Now living in Florida, Steve is a fixture at major festivals and nightclubs throughout the South, Europe, and the Caribbean. He is also considered by many to be one of the top cigar box guitar players in the world today.

In the year 2001, Arvey recorded his album Fine Line, and in 2002, he set out on his first tour in Australia. Arvey's growing popularity earned him a slot at the 2005 Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival. It was in 2005 that Arvey discovered the Cigar Box Guitar. He later signed to Warner International and appeared on the compilation CD from that festival which included tracks from Dave Matthews, REM, Jack Johnson, and other notable artists. No cover.

Located on Cortez Rd in West Bradenton, Bunny & Pirates is a place where you can always feel welcome. Whether it’s your first visit or hundredth, their intimate space is, "like hanging out in a friend's backyard." The pet-friendly venue is a mix of deli, market, and pub. Their drink menu offerings range from coffee and tea to craft beer and wine. Food menu includes charcuteries, sandwiches, salads, paninis, and treats. Folknharmony returns to Pub 32 for another round of folkn' fun! Dr. Zach Johnson (guitar/vocals), Nancy Gauvreau (guitar/vocals), and Beau Wilberding (Cajon percussion) have created a trio that's musically astute, charming, and always a good time. The trio's interpretations of well-loved covers offer uniqueness and renewal that will have listeners falling in love with their favorite songs all over again. No cover, but reservations are recommended.

About the Venue:
Pub 32 Irish Gastropub is an Irish-owned and operated pub(lic house). Located in Sarasota, this venue provides outdoor patio seating in addition to its indoor bar and restaurant. Pub 32 strives to be not "just a pub" but an Irish kitchen. Pub 32 works to provide homemade food that covers all the Irish classics while leaving room for creativity. From sweet to sassy, philosophical to irreverent, Stumble Creek is an eclectic mix of Americana with strong folk roots, hot bluegrass flashes, and rock-inspired riffs. Like every good creek should, Stumble Creek offers a range of sounds and sensations that provide a feast for the ears as well as the heart – a one-of-a-kind experience at every bend and turn. The band features Austin Kennedy (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Sara Stovall (vocals, fiddle), Heather Downie (vocals, guitar, mandolin), and Tom Hicks (vocals, upright bass). No cover.

Located in Bradenton off of east Manatee Avenue, 3 Keys Brewing is a family-friendly brewery with a full kitchen serving up gourmet-style pub fare. Offering an inviting social atmosphere and weekly list of entertainment, music, and food and drink specials. This Saturday, Rye Road will return to the beer garden stage of Motorworks Brewing. Rye Road has been rocking audiences up and down the Gulf Coast of Florida for over a decade. Their sound is a unique blend of new country and rock. The band features Pete Tamburin’s emotional vocals and country-influenced guitar, drummer Dan Garrido’s solid rhythms and amazing high harmonies, the energetic and booming bass lines of Bryant Crawford, and the soaring keyboards of Tim Meyer. Catchy, accessible melodies under lyrics that everyone can relate to, a sound sure to rock and move you! No cover.

Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones play traditional blues, West Coast and Texas swing, and early '50s roots rock. Deming is an American blues and roots guitarist/vocalist, earning a Blues Blast Music Award nomination for Best Blues Band in 2013 and 2019. They also reached No. 3 on Billboard’s blues albums chart for their 2018 record Complicated Mess. Accompanied by bassist Andrew Goham (formerly of the Bottom Feeders), and percussionist Zack Pomerleau (a seasoned musician born and raised in Auburn, Maine), this trio is rockin' rhythm & blues. No cover.

Located in one of the oldest fishing villages in the United States, the Cortez Kitchen is a top destination for locals and tourists alike. Named for the body of water it sits on and known by locals as "the kitchen" due to its bountiful supply of fish and seafood, visitors love the laid-back Florida feel of Cortez Kitchen as well as the live music every weekend. Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones

James Varnado & Johnny Barker Open Jam
Cottonmouth Southern Soul Kitchen
Sunday: 5-9 p.m.

Born in New Orleans, drummer James Varnado relocated to Florida’s Gulf Coast in 2006. Varnado has performed and toured with the likes of George Porter Jr (The Meters), Charmaine Neville (Neville Bros Family), Tab Benoit, Mem Shannon Blues Band, Jon Cleary, Dickey Betts (of the Allman Brothers), The Dixie Cups (Doo-Wop), and has shared the stage with various local bands.

Johnny Barker and Sergae Glushenkov join Varnado for this eclectic rotating jazzy blues jam. Barker is a bassist and the founding member of "The JBP“, also known as The Johnny Barker Project. Sergae Glushenkov is a Ukrainian-born pianist who currently serves as band director at Southside Elementary school.

The trio offers audiences something a bit more like a variety show, leading the jam with opening songs, and welcoming a rotation of other talented local guest musicians to join the stage. A jam session guaranteed to bring sound surprises you won’t hear anywhere else. No cover.

Tim McCaig returns for Motorwork’s brunch show with a Neil Diamond tribute performance. Tim Michael McCaig has been in the entertainment business for over 30 years. An award-winning singer, guitarist, and piano player, McCaig impresses audiences from coast to coast performing in a wide array of venues. From 5-Star hotels such as The Breakers in Palm Beach (19 years members club in-house musician) to sold-out Neil Diamond Tribute shows. His versatility and style are reflected in his performances of artists such as Johnny Cash, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Springsteen, and many more.
