The City of Bradenton’s Public Works and Utilities Department recently completed the replacement of the backup generator at the Water Treatment Plant.
The new generator helps ensure critical treatment and pumping equipment can continue operating during power outages caused by hurricanes, tropical storms, and other emergencies. The Water Treatment Plant operates around the clock, providing drinking water to homes and businesses and supplying water to more than 1,700 fire hydrants throughout the city.
The project included the replacement of the generator, fuel tank, fuel lines, and related equipment.
