When he would be called over the loudspeaker, he would say a joke to himself "before I go crazy!" He was so sweet he even agreed to be Santa one year for the store. Robert served the State of California as a Peace Officer from April 1993 through March of 2009. He worked at Soledad Correctional Facility and Central Medical Facility in Vacaville, CA. His abilities with people and Military background made him a good fit for this career and he was well liked.

He loved working with his hands fixing and repairing things including antique pocket watches. He loved the water and the beach. He appreciated music and arts.
