Parrish Chili Cook-Off Returns to Railroad Museum March 7

Posted

PARRISH — The Parrish Civic Association’s annual Heritage Festival and Chili Cook-Off will be held Saturday, March 7, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Florida Railroad Museum. An annual tradition for more than a decade, the Chili Cook-Off is one of the signature events celebrating Parrish and the many Manatee County communities north of the Manatee River, with the free-to-attend Parrish Heritage Parade from 10-11 a.m. and the Chili Cook-Off to follow.

This family-friendly festival features $10 general admission tickets and free admission for children 12 and younger. Chili sampling is included with admission. Additional activities at the Chili Cook-Off include craft and vendor tents, food trucks, a beer truck, children's activity and play areas, and live music from Black Thorn Rose.

Businesses and non-profit organizations interested in entering a team in the Chili Cook-Off can still do so. Award categories include the Grand Championship, People’s Choice, Most Spirited, Best Firehouse Chili, and more. Select sponsorship opportunities remain available as well for corporate partners to support this growing community celebration.

General admission tickets and chili competition team entries are available online at parrishcivicassociation.com, and general admission tickets are also available at the gate on the day of the event.
