Mayor's Corner: Gene Brown

(Tuesday's) Independence Day celebration has left me very grateful, first that our city partners with the City of Palmetto and Manatee County to bring you the only government fireworks show in Manatee County.

Second, I am grateful for how spectacularly this event turned out and without any major issues or disruptions, due in part to our Police and Fire departments.

And, I am sincerely grateful for all those who fought to have gained, and those who are currently serving to preserve, our country's independence.
