Mayor Judy Squeaks by in Holmes Beach; Whitmore wins City Commission Seat

ANNA MARIA ISLAND — Incumbent Holmes Beach Mayor Judy Holmes Titsworth narrowly defeated Mike Roth to retain her post.

Titsworth edged out Roth with 1000 votes to 968.

Former Manatee County Commissioner Carol Whitmore, who previously served as both Holmes Beach mayor and councilwoman, got 38.7 percent of the vote in a four-way race to return to an elected post. Dan Diggins also won a seat receiving 29.45 percent of the vote.
