MANATEE COUNTY — Manatee County Government offices will be closed Thursday and Friday (November 23 and 24) this week for Thanksgiving.
Garbage, yard waste, and recycling in unincorporated areas are postponed one day on Thanksgiving Day. The regular schedule resumes on Monday, November 27.
Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) fixed route, Handy Bus, and Longboat Key Shuttle services will not be available on Thanksgiving Day, but those services will resume on Friday, November 24.
All Manatee Library locations will be closed at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22. Branches will remain closed on Thursday, November 23, and Friday, November 24. All locations will reopen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 25.
On days government offices are closed public parks, preserves and beaches remain open to the public. Manatee County and Buffalo Creek golf courses will close at noon Thursday. The G.T. Bray Recreation Center is closed on Thursday and Friday.
