Quazone Taylor has been arrested and charged with attempted murder. He was taken into custody on Sunday and booked into Manatee County Jail after being at-large for five days.
When Manatee County Sheriff's deputies responded to an attempted murder that occurred shortly before 3 p.m. on August 18 in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Drive East, they found a 15-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds to his neck and upper body.
The juvenile, who currently lives at the residence, was transported by medical personnel to a regional hospital. His injuries were serious but are not expected to be life-threatening.
Detectives learned that Taylor, 34, was visiting the residence and attacked the juvenile for an unknown reason while the two were sitting outside the home. Taylor then fled the area.
Additional deputies, including members of the SWAT and Drone teams, responded to assist in searching the residence and surrounding area for Taylor.
