Job fair - The U.S. Postal Service is Hiring in Bradenton

The United States Postal Service is hiring in the Bradenton/Manatee County area to fill immediate openings for positions in retail and delivery.  A job fair is scheduled for next Thursday.

The location for the job fair will be the Bradenton Braden River Post Office, located at 4112 53rd Ave East. It will take place from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 14.

To assist potential applicants, USPS personnel will be onsite to provide detailed information about the positions and to answer questions.

Current positions available include:

  • Assistant Rural Carrier / Rural Carrier Associate: Cases, delivers, and collects mail along a rural route using a vehicle. Provide customers on the route with a variety of services. Salary: $19.94 per hour.
  • City Carrier Assistant: Delivers and collects mail on foot or by vehicle under varying road and weather conditions in assigned areas. Salary: $19.33 per hour.
  • Postal Support Employee: Performs distribution and a variety of sales and customer support services for products. Maintains pleasant and effective public relations with customers and others requiring a general familiarity with postal laws, regulations, and procedures commonly used. Salary: $20.05 per hour.

Applicants must be 18 years of age. All applicants must be able to pass drug screening and a criminal background check. Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license, a safe driving record, and at least two years of unsupervised experience driving passenger cars or larger.  The driving must have taken place in the U.S. or its possessions or territories or in U.S. military installations worldwide.
