Indivisible Manatee will be back in action this weekend with a rally taking place along University Parkway on Saturday, August 16. The event joins hundreds of similar rallies across the country for a “National Day of Action.”
The University Parkway protest will take place in front of the Target parking lot from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.
Liv Coleman, a member of the Indivisible Manatee leadership team, says these events are targeting President Trump’s attempts to steal the 2026 election through voter manipulation.
“Redrawing the electoral map in Texas is just the beginning, and Florida may be next,” said Coleman.
Indivisible Manatee says Republicans are trying to manipulate districts to dilute the impact of working-class and minority voters. Instead of poll taxes, literacy tests, and discriminatory eligibility requirements, they believe these maneuvers represent disenfranchisement for the 21st century.
Rallies and protests have been underway for months, drawing attention and participation as the message resonates with voters in Florida and nationwide.
“We will continue to make our voices heard and expect more and more to join our ranks,” said Coleman.
