Congratulations to all on #200. I (we) enjoy staying informed and you ALL do an excellent job for us on keeping it fair, balanced and well investigated on Manatee Counties Governmental business.

To Dawn great job and stay strong with your current situation and goal in kicking the bad habit. ❤️

Enjoyable as always and it made me laugh!  You are correct that things will never change unless the corrupt administration and selected personnel are removed.  We thought the article on the new garbage collection was quite informative- can't believe anyone would think otherwise- unless of course they commented without reading!

The discussion about County administrators being appointed by the former dysfunctional Commissioners and perhaps not aligning with current Commissioners is a relevant topic. As a former executive of 20 years, I broached that very topic with one of the current Commissioners even before the August primary. He pretty much blew it off. My experience is that organizations work best when you hire the best people with the best training and experience. When you do, there is not always agreement on issues and that usually makes for better decisions. But that disagreement and discussion should occur behind closed doors. When the rubber hits the road out in the public, the team has got to be in agreement. If staff "slow walk" an issue, or submarine it in some other way, that's not happening and it's time for them to GO...and that should have been understood by the new Commissioners from the get-go. It's not too late.
