TALLAHASSEE — On Thursday morning, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody would replace Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), pending the incoming Secretary of State for the Trump administration's Senate confirmation.
Moody has served as the Attorney General of Florida since January 2019. She previously served as an assistant U.S. attorney and a circuit court judge in Hillsborough County. Moody has supported lawsuits to invalidate the Affordable Care Act, advocated against the restoration of voting rights for former felons, and opposed the legalization of recreational marijuana.
Moody has been a stringent supporter of President Donald Trump and joined the Texas v. Pennsylvania lawsuit, which sought to contest the 2020 presidential election results.
"Governor, I want to let you know that I will not let you down, I will not let the citizens of Florida down, and I will not let my country down," said Moody in accepting the appointment.

Of course, logically he would position someone who is willing to go along with their donors interests. She's game.

God help us. She is totally tone deaf to what the people she will represent want. She will not be OUR senator…..she will be Trump’s senator.
