First, congratulations to all who are celebrating academic achievements this season—from Kindergarten graduations to advanced college degrees. We are incredibly proud of you! Keep reaching for the stars, but always remember where you came from. We hope you’ll bring your knowledge and experience back home to help keep our Friendly City vibrant and strong.

Last week also marked an exciting step forward in local transportation: we officially launched expanded service through the Freebee electric ride program. For the first time, Bradenton and Palmetto are now connected through this eco-friendly, on-demand transit option. Working together across city lines is a win for both communities.

This initiative improves transportation, strengthens access to essential services, boosts local businesses, and enhances the quality of life for residents on both sides of the river.

As summer begins and school is out, please remember to drive carefully through neighborhoods. Our kids are out enjoying their break—let’s make sure everyone has a safe and happy summer!
