Do you have a dog or cat as a companion? They can add so much joy to our lives. Growing up I was surrounded by dogs. As newlyweds, my husband and I got a kitten several years before we had children to ease us into parental duties.
Studies have shown that pets could help you live longer. But as with most things in life, pet owners have responsibilities. All dogs and cats need to have current rabies vaccines as well as other inoculations as prescribed by veterinarians.
In Manatee County, leash laws are in effect. What does this mean? All city parks are not dog parks. In the City of Bradenton, your dog can be off-leash at the designated dog park at G.T. Bray Park and at the Palma Sola Causeway.
When you visit any other city park, your dog must remain on a leash. This is for the safety of all people at the park and for the safety of your dog. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Takes one to know one. Don't overfeed your pets and make sure they get enough exercise and see your vet regularly. Otherwise you'll end up with a fat ugly dog.
