The City of Bradenton officially broke ground on City Park on June 9, marking the start of Phase 1 of a four-phase project surrounding LECOM Park.
More than a baseball project, City Park is envisioned as a destination for recreation, youth programs, educational opportunities, and community events. Future phases include additional recreational amenities, a Community Resource Center, and expanded spaces that will serve residents and visitors for years to come.
This project is a partnership among the City of Bradenton, Manatee County, the School District of Manatee County, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and numerous community partners.
