As the calendar turns toward spring, this is certainly an exciting and active time of year in Bradenton. With the Pirates underway at LECOM Park, our city welcomes visitors from across the county while local businesses benefit from the added energy and activity. It’s always great to see the community come together around baseball and the many events that make this season special.
Bradenton’s arts community continues to bring creativity and vibrancy to our city. The first annual WonderWall Mural Fest this past Saturday transformed the Village of the Arts into a living canvas filled with art, music, and community connection. The upcoming Bradenton Arts & Music Festival (BAM!Fest) on Saturday, March 28, will continue that celebration by showcasing local artists and musicians and highlighting the creative spirit that is such an important part of our community.
In that same spirit, many may have noticed that work is underway along the Riverwalk on the Singing River sculpture installation, which will add another distinctive feature to our waterfront and further enhance one of Bradenton’s most treasured public spaces.
I always enjoy meeting everyone while out and about in our city. If you see me around town, please feel free to say hello. Bradenton’s strength is its people, and I look forward to continuing to work together to keep our city the wonderful place we proudly call home.
