As temperatures rise and more families head to the beach, lakes and pools to keep cool, the Bradenton Fire Department would like to remind everyone that water safety comes first!
Drownings can happen quickly and silently, often in less than a minute. That is why constant supervision is critical—especially for children. Always designate a responsible adult as a “water watcher,” avoid distractions like phones, and make sure everyone wears properly fitted life jackets when appropriate.
By staying alert and prepared, we can all work together to prevent tragedies and keep our community safe around the water. Happy swimming!
