But I thought "Free Florida" was all about parental rights?

This is a really cool thing, and Sweet Sparkman is an amazing firm with another great design, but it's really irritating that everything needs commissioners seem to do has to go in a shady way. Why the consent agenda?

I love my Mustang Mach E. Haven’t bought gas since Nov 2023. It runs great-really fast pickup, quiet. Looks good, it’s like driving a very decked out golf cart. No special charging hook up-just plug it into the socket in the garage next to the freezer overnight. No recalls, no warnings. Yes-it has a limited range of just over 300 miles, but I only drive around town-hubby’s truck is for longer trips. Getting a tax refund since bought in 2023, and battery partially built in US. And yea-electronic waste is a huge issue-your computer and phone batteries in addition to my car battery which is warranties for 100,000 miles. Need to solve waste issues. Need to solve power issues (my electric bill maybe has increased $15-20 a month, ours is pretty low as we hang our laundry on a line to dry-no HOA)!!! Yes it was a leap of faith…but I truly believe we may run out of gas in FL-we will never be without electricity!

Vern has been in office far to long and has joined the swamp mentality. RINO Vern is a poor choice for the citizens of Florida. Eddie Speir is a far better choice.

“We have to govern this state and our communities with an eye towards what’s in the best interests of the law-abiding citizens, what’s in the best interest of families who are trying to raise kids, what’s in the best interests of our seniors...." Ron DeSantis. So, people who are law-abiding, have families and/or are seniors but are homeless don't count in the people the governor wants to protect?

So much for being a viable transportation for workforce transportation to get to work out on the islands as toted by our local officials when approving these funds. Just another scam on the taxpayers on this losing endeavor of $400,000 to cater to the tourist. Truth be told.

Such a sad commentary on our political climate. Brought to you by people who live and work in fully climate controlled environments. What a simple gesture for humanity this could have been. But, nope. Not from this group.

De Santis still gets a ton of mileage out of attacking undocumented migrants. Sheriff Grady Judge is probably the biggest media hog of elected officials in the state. Sending migrants to other states is cruel and unusual punishment. DeSantis should have been held accountable for this despicable venture both by the legal authorities and Florida taxpayers. This legislation is at best an asinine attempt to curb migration in the state sort of like when he sought to ticket truck drivers entering Florida with out of state licenses who are undocumented. That made lots of sense and one wonders how often that happens? Lastly, with all of this “ legislation,” aimed at migrants what about homeowners insurance? My guess is that the average Floridian has about a 1% chance of being wronged by an undocumented person but probably a 99% chance of overpaying for homeowners and or auto insurance. Nice work Ron. Sad isn't it. In a country with so many Christian churches and that supposedly prides itself on ethical conduct there is such fear when trying to report corruption! I guess they forget the part about always "falling short", and protecting those who report those shortcomings!

Although it won’t be in writing, there is no way Knapp goes out on a limb without the approval of Depol and Bishop. The butt-kissing tone of Knapp’s emailed responses to Beruff confirm she has no qualms about violating the clear, unambiguous language of the LDC. I’m far from an expert, but looking at the LDC’s section 311, Table 3-1 has a footnote #6 in the Code Interpretations row that refers to Part X Section 370 - which says “Code Interpretations” by a Director can be appealed to the BoCC by “any aggrieved person.” If “aggrieved” means pissed off, then all informed citizens qualify. If aggrieved means financially damaged, all taxpayers qualify because we are subsidizing Homestead exemptions for a multi-millionaire on lots #2 and #3 on this previously subdivided property. The whole thing stinks of greed by Beruff and corruption in our county government. Bishop is out-Hopes-ing Hopes. Beruff has made millions raping our environment, but has carved a large, rare piece of beautiful land for himself and wants to avoid paying his share of taxes to the government that has allowed him to destroy the rest of the County. Register now. Vote out KVO, Satcher and Turner this year

Kruse also asked that public comment be reinstated on social media. That decision made by the administrator. It is a policy issue that should be voted on by the BOCC and not implemented by the administrator. It should be brought back as an agenda item to the Board if they want to turn off and in the meantime should be allowed. There is a policy statement on the social media page. They may delete certain comments but not shut it down.

Governor DeSantis is obsessed with his “State Guard”. While interdicting illegal entrance to the state is justifiable having a force of 12,000 guardsmen is militaristic and smacks of a dictatorship. He has sent some of these guardsmen to Texas to assist them with their border. One of his “guard” was recently arrested on a felony warrant making one wonder how these members are vetted to join the guard. This is scary stuff from our governor and what we are being subjected to. The budget of this “unit” will only grow and to what end? James F Tierney

Excellent podcast! Totally agree that Emerson Point expansion is not a done deal until the last vote. 6 of these commissioners never wanted this expansion- they have said it out loud at numerous meetings. This is just another tactic they are using against the public to make them think that the land will be purchased. Thanks for the heads up on KVO possibly running in District 7- FYI District 3 has had zero representation from KVO and he absolutely has no interest in hearing from the public or interacting with them on any level otherwise he would allow phone in public comment (plenty of meeting time for this at the less than 4 hour meeting) and answer his own e-mail with anything other than a brainless copy/paste sentence.
