Virginia Ellen "Ginny" Perando quietly departed this Life on Friday, April 12, 2024 in Bradenton FL. Born August 15, 1949 in Burlington, NC to the late James Earven Jeffreys and Nettie Margaret Teeter. She graduated from Richard Montgomery High School in 1967. She obtained a Bachelor's degree from University of Maryland and a Masters degree from American University in 1994.
She was married to Scott A. Perando on July 3, 1992 for 31 years and previously married to Frank Worthington III from 1968 and divorced in 1984. She was a Program/Project Manager with the DOT / FAA and retiring in 2016. Mrs. Perando was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 24 in Bradenton FL.
She is survived by her husband Scott A. Perando; her sister Patricia Worthington; her brother William Boyd Jeffreys; her daughter Virginia M. Blackwell; her stepsons Timothy Perando and Christopher Perando; three grandchildren Cedric J. Blackwell II, Alyssa Perando, and Austin Perando; and two great granddaughters Isabelle and Amethyst Blackwell. She was preceded in death by her sister Francis Kay Thomas and brothers James Jeffreys, Michael Jeffreys.
Visitation will be held at PUMPHREY'S COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME, 300 W. Montgomery Avenue, Rockville, MD on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 a.m.
Interment will be held at Parklawn Memorial Park, Veirs Mill Road and Arbutus Avenue, Rockville, MD.
