Palmetto, Florida - Pene' Tourville Stagner of Palmetto, Florida died March 17, 2024, at the age of 82. Pene' was born in Sparta, Wisconsin in 1941. In addition to her family, Pene's great loves were books and travel.

The love of books led her to pursue a Master's degree in Library Science from Texas Women's University and then on to work as a Medical librarian in Hawaii, an Army special services library supervisor in Europe, and the Bookmobile librarian in Manatee County. Pene's love of travel started at an early age when her family moved to Japan with the Army.

During the 1980's and 1990's, Pene was busy as a mostly stay at home mom raising a family in Arvada, Colorado, and volunteering at local schools. In 2000, she and her husband moved to Bradenton, and she promptly became the Bookmobile librarian, a job she dearly loved. Pene' had a phenomenal memory for names and faces, a gift that served her well in her life of service to the community.

Pene' is survived by her husband, Richard, her daughter, Kristi, her son, Troy, and her sister, Louise Silvanic. Sadly, her daughter Nicole predeceased her. She has seven grandchildren in Colorado and Tennessee. Pene's favorite charity was St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. We ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude's in Pene's memory.
