Boxcar Hollow
Cottonmouth
Friday - 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Boxcar Hollow is a band derived from experience and musical prowess. Winning “Best of The Bay” honors, this post-modern Americana newgrass quartet, takes the true essence of the roots of folk and bluegrass with jamband sensibilities, and turns it into this new yet familiar sound we call “Boxcar Hollow”. As individuals they have played some of the biggest stages and and festivals in the country, and now this group resides in the Tampa Bay area, with touring on the horizon back to The North, where Matt Weis (guitar vocals) and Jack Pieroth( bass) are originally from. Jeff Baker (drums/percussion) channels his song writing from his country roots, where Matt Weis’ influences stem from a Dylan-esc homage, along with some of the other folk musicians who are leading the way in our modern era.

Greg Holt is one the South’s top fiddlers, whose sense for melody is second to none. Matt Weis and Jack Pieroth has been playing music together for nearly 15 years, and are enjoying their latest journey in the Tampa Bay region, playing shows nearly 7 nights a week. One of Pieroth’s biggest influences is bassist Phil Lesh, where solidity, and keeping the band in synchronicity with driving bass lines, is of the upmost importance. Look for this band on the rise in Tampa Bay’s arts and entertainment magazine “Creative Loafing”, and right now you can see them every Thursday night, in Downtown St. Pete at the Mandarin Hide, along with shows in and around around central Florida and beyond. No cover.

The Shakes Society
Motorworks Brewing
Friday - 7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

The Shakes Society is a multi-talented, multi-instrumental band. Their unique blending of Soul, Funk, Ska and Rock is like no other band, creating their own unique genre, not easily fitting into traditionally defined categories.

The Shakes Society is a very interactive experience so don’t be surprised if you find yourself dancing with the horn players as they cruise through the crowd. They are always dancing, moving and singing. They never cease to amaze. Be ready to dance and sing and party because there is no way to escape the groove in the room.

Have Gun, Will Travel is a nationally acclaimed Alternative rock/folk band known for its indie rock, classic country, hints-of-punk, Americana sound. Indeed, it is challenging to assign the genre specifically, as it seems HGWT set off determined to create one all its own. Born of Bradenton, references to its hometown roots can be found tucked into some of the band's original songs, and in the title of its 2009 album, ""Postcards from the Friendly City."" The band's most recent release of the highly anticipated album, Silver Sounds, delivered to fans yet another tribute to Bradenton with ""The ballad Our Fair City.""

Formed in 2006, the band's members consist of brothers Matt Burke (singer-guitarist) and Daniel Burke (bassist), and longtime friends guitarist Scott Anderson, drummer Sam Farmer, and keyboardist Edward Stork. Lead vocalist Matt Burke's songwriting draws on Western themes of life and death, honor, and morality throughout the band's narrative songs. No cover.
