BRADENTON — Many music fans have had the blues since Lauren Mitchell left town for New Orleans in 2021. Rejoice because the Grammy Award-winning songstress will return to Bradenton for two shows at Dave Shiplet's Cottonmouth Southern Soul Food in the Village of the Arts in March.

In 2022, she had the opportunity to be featured as a guest vocalist with the Count Basie Orchestra for their 2024 Grammy Winning Album “Basie Swings The Blues." Performing alongside famed vocalists like Keb’ Mo, Carmen Bradford, Bobby Rush, and Bettye LaVette, the album went on to win the Grammy Award for “Best Large Jazz Ensemble.”

Tickets are currently on sale for $25 ($30 at the door) and can be purchased at laurenmitchellmusic.com.
