BRADENTON – The De Soto Grand Parade returns this Saturday at 7 p.m. For the first time ever, the event, which is one of the largest and oldest parades in the southeastern United States, will be streamed live on social media platforms.

Each year, more than 100,000 people line the streets of Bradenton to witness this spectacular event that includes over 150 entries, including illuminated floats, the newly crowned Queen and Princess, and the new Hernando de Soto, Captain of the Crew.

The parade begins at Manatee High School at the corner of 9th Avenue West and 30th Street West. The total route is 2.5 miles. The roads are closed beginning at 5 PM. Designated parking locations are indicated on the parade route map (click here to view).

The live stream of the parade will be available on the De Soto Society's Facebook page and YouTube channel.
