Ryan Yanevich

Ryan C. Yanevich, 19, passed away on January 28, 2024. He was born June 3, 2004, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, the son of Jeff and Kathleen (Hepburn) Yanevich.

Ryan graduated from Manatee High School, class of 2022. He volunteered with Key Club and was active in creating the yearbook. He had a big heart and volunteered with many organizations, including mentoring young readers with Dive into reading and as a teen attorney with teen court in Manatee County.

He was known as a champion chess player, avid reader, baseball player, cross country runner, sailor, fisherman and avid outdoorsman. He loved investing and shared hot stock tips with everyone he knew. Ryan loved visiting Puerto Rico where he toured the old town, its night clubs, hiked the rainforest and went sky diving.

Ryan was a current student at the University of South Florida majoring in Finance where he was also a fraternity brother.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brothers, Owen and Anthony as well as his sister, Audrey; grandparents, Jerry and Susan Yanevich of Roswell, GA and Denis and Barbara Hepburn of Portland, OR; aunt, Jennifer (Yanevich) and her husband, Kazumi Amano; aunt, Elizabeth Hepburn and her husband, Clayton Cotterell; cousins, Naomi, Natalie, Isabel, and Zoey.

Ryan was such a bright light in our world, and he is deeply missed.

In Ryan's memory, please consider volunteering to mentor young readers to open the world of literature to them.
