Bradenton, Florida - Robert Burnham Henderson, 77, passed away on March 13, 2024. He was born February 27, 1947, in East Port, Maine. Robert traveled many places as a child from California to Texas, but always returning to his birthplace.
He was a proud member of the USAF from 1964-69. He joined the Elks, Eagles, VFW, American Legion, Moose and DA. This year becoming a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge 1511. He was member of Trailer Estates Covenant Church. For those who knew him personally, he was kind, generous, quirky, and very funny. He loved playing pool and has many friends in the pool community. He was an avid golfer, playing weekly. He sang Karaoke and loved it.
Robert moved to FL in 2004, where he met his wife, Gloria, she preceded him in death in June 2021. He resided in Eagle Village for 17 years. He married Judith Ray in March 2022. She survives him.
He is also survived by his three sisters, Bonnie Edgecomb of Bradenton, FL; Cheryl Lopes of Texas; Sandra Poland of Illinois; and sister-in-law, Valerie Henderson of West Virginia and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was a father of two, Christopher (deceased 2017) and he is survived by his daughter, Dawn, who lives in Limington, ME, three grandsons and a granddaughter survive him, Gage, Austin, Cole, and Ayla, and a new great-granddaughter, Hazel, all lived in ME. He is also survived by his step-daughter, Michelle Hogan and special niece, Ronda "Susie" Bean both of Bradenton.
He was a wonderful human being and will be greatly missed!
