Harold Schultz, Jr.

Posted

August 28, 1958 - March 4, 2024

Harold was born in Lancaster, California, the first of five children born to Harold and Mary Ruth Schultz, and passed in Palmetto, Florida.

Although he lived in several different places while growing up, he lived most of his formative and adult years in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and was a 1976 graduate of Bishop Kelly High School. He went on to attend Spartan School or Aeronautics where he studied electronics and instrumentation. He began his career with Eastman Kodak in January of 1982. The division he worked for was sold several times over the years, but he retained his position until a corporate restructuring in March of 2009. He began working for Reasor's grocery store in 2010 as a food demonstrator before moving into the deli. He retired in 2019.

Harold's father taught him to sail at a young age, and he retained his love of sailing, boats, and water for life. Upon retirement he and Karen moved to their sailboat in Florida where they made many wonderful friends. At the time of his passing, he and Karen were surrounded by many friends enjoying their morning coffee at the "Circle of Wisdom." People knew him to be a man of integrity and as a genuinely nice guy who did not hesitate to help those in need. He will be missed by his family and by many lifetime friends in both Palmetto and Tulsa.

He is predeceased by his parents and brother John Louis. He is survived by his wife Karen of 42 years, sisters Linda Nicholson of Tulsa, OK, Sue Marolf (John) of Tulsa, OK, Catherine Cresson (John) of Madisonville, LA, and sister and brother in-law Diana and Steve jones of Corvallis, MT, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
