Edwin T. Mulock, longtime Bradenton attorney, voice of Friday night Manatee High football radio, drummer in his school band and triple transplant survivor - passed away at age 78 on May 18, 2022.

Born on November 7, 1943, in Tuscaloosa, AL to Arthur and Nelle Mulock (Cote), Eddie graduated from Manatee High School before completing a law degree at Stetson University in 1968. A legend of Manatee County, Eddie charismatically commanded a courtroom, trying cases that rolled out like page-turner movie scripts.

A lover of saltwater fishing tournaments, Motown Music and colorful suits, Eddie advocated for children by chairing the Children's Services Advisory Board and serving on various committees benefiting the youth of Manatee County. His long list of accolades includes: Top Attorney of North America, Martin Luther King's Outstanding Citizenship Award, Tampa Bay Trial Association of Justice Award and Lifetime Spirit of Manatee Award to name a few.

Defying the odds, Eddie survived 27 years on a heart transplant and 15 on a new liver and kidney. In those 27 years, he crafted his greatest accomplishment: Foundation for Dreams and Dream Oaks Camp, a non-profit providing sleep away and day camping experiences for children with special needs.

Synonymous with Manatee County, the name Mulock rarely slips unnoticed because of Eddie's passion for his lifelong community.

He is survived by children; Brett (Melissa) Mulock, Amanda (Edward) Murray, Jeb (Bre) Mulock, Krystal (Reese) Barillari and Lance Plowman along with many grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service is planned for 3 p.m. on June 25 at Manatee High School's auditorium: 902 33rd ST Ct W, Bradenton, FL 34205. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Foundation for Dreams & Dream Oaks Camp 16110 Dream Oaks PL, Bradenton, FL 34212.
