Douglas J. Sharon, 81, of Sarasota, Florida, suddenly passed away on March 13, 2024. His loss is completely unexpected, his family and friends are profoundly saddened.

Douglas J. Sharon was born on October 11, 1942, to Donald M. and Edna M. Sharon, in Oneida, New York. At a young age, his family moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida. After Douglas graduated from Bishop Barry High School in 1960, he went on to study at Saint Petersburg Junior College.

In January of 1962, Douglas joined the United States Air Force. April of 1963, he married his high school sweetheart, Gale M. Hoover. Douglas and Gale went on to have two children, Kathleen A. Sharon and Judith E. Bourbonnie. He was Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force in April 1966.

Douglas went on to attend the University of Florida's College of Pharmacy, graduating in 1977. During this time, he joined the United States Army Reserves. He went on to work as a pharmacist until the end of 2023. And retired with 30 years of military service.

He is predeceased by his parents, Donald M. and Edna M. Sharon; brother, Donald A. Sharon. Douglas is survived by his sister, Judith M. Rissler; daughters, Kathleen A. Sharon (Daniel Fritton) and Judith E. Bourbonnie; his two grandchildren, Brittany N. Hardin and Jacob R. Fritton.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Brown and Son Funeral Home 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34209. Condolences may be sent to: www.brownandsonfuneral.com
