David A. Griffin, Sr., 86, of Lee, MA, passed away April 6, 2024 in Palmetto, FL, surrounded by family. After 40+ years of working for Mead Specialty Paper Corporation he and his wife, Linda retired to Florida where he spent time with many friends playing cards, cribbage, horseshoes and sitting in the sun reading westerns. He enjoyed golfing, ice fishing and hunting at deer camp with his many lifelong friends.
He was a US Navy Veteran that served aboard the Air Craft Carrier USS Intrepid which is now a Museum in the New York City Harbor. He is predeceased by his mother, Helen (Maxwell) Griffin and his father, Almon H. Griffin.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Turner Griffin; 5 children, Sheila G. Heal (David), Thomas D. Griffin, Brenda G. Woods, David A. Griffin, Jr., and Dennis J. Griffin (Lisa) and 4 grandchildren, Brandon Heal, Emily Griffin, Daniel Griffin and Austin Griffin and his cousin, Donald (Wolfy) Griffin.
