Colin Douglas Reese, 87, of Bradenton, Florida, and formerly of Pulaski, Virginia died April 30th, 2022 at his home.

Born December 21st, 1934 in Pulaski, he was the son of Paul W. Reese Sr. and Louise Hall Reese.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ava M. Reese, his parents, Paul Reese Sr. and Louise Reese, also his siblings, Donald Reese, Patsy Raines, Linda (Mickey) Childers, Wanda Green, Davis Zipperer, and Paul Reese Jr.

He is survived by his siblings, Judy Whitt of Dublin, VA, Janice Dix of Sarasota, FL, Larry "Punk" Reese of Dublin, VA, and Sybil Zipperer of Bradenton, FL. Also survived by his children, Pauletta Cook (Hank) of Parrish, FL, Paul D. Reese (Cathy) of Townville, SC, Theresa Reasoner (Ward) of Bradenton, FL, and Kevin Reese (Miranda) of Bradenton, FL. He has 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was a Navy Veteran having served during the Korean War aboard the USS Hawkins (DDR-873) and the USS Midway (CVA-41) as part of the U.S. Sixth Fleet. He earned the National Defense Service Medal and Navy Occupation Service Medal (with European Clasp). Colin was a retired Painter and enjoyed classic cars, working and tending his yard, and spending time with his grandchildren.

At his request, there will be no calling hours. He will be buried at sea with military honors.
