Harold Giroux

Harold L. Giroux, 80, Sarasota, passed away April 15, 2012. He was born on October 23, 1931 in Albany, NY to the late Leo J. & Ernestine Giroux. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and moved to Manatee County in 1961 coming from Kendell Park, NJ. He was a retired accountant, a member of the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus. He was predeceased by a daughter, Denise Giroux-Troast in 2000, and is survived by his loving wife Carol of Sarasota, three daughters; Michelle (Derek) Giroux-Harrington of Parrish, Debbie (John) Giroux-Belza of Cincinnati, OH, Renee (William) Giroux-Rennie of San Diego, CA, one brother, Leo (Willina) Giroux of Bradenton, two sisters; Gladys Collins of Bradenton, Margarite Moore of Knoxville, TN., seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. 

A memorial Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, Sarasota with inurnment in the memorial garden at the church.
