Obituary Submissions Policy

The Bradenton Times is a news website and community resource for the Bradenton area. We do not charge for obituary submissions. Submitting an obituary is simple and is done online with prompts for information.

The submission is reviewed and then posted in a timely manner. We allow up to a page of content (around 300 words), a photo and the ability to send a link in an email to those you want to share the obituary.

The obituary stays online without a time limit unless you prefer different arrangements.

We reserve the right to edit and refuse obituaries that are in our opinion not in accordance with respectful obituary guidelines.

How to submit:

1. Go to the online Obituary Submission Form

2. Fill out the information required and be sure to remember to click the box that confirms you agree to these Obituary Terms.

You can provide an image to use in the obituary. To add an image, left-click on the browse button, and this takes you to your files on your computer. You can then find an image file and click on it, and the picture will be uploaded to our website when you submit the form. We accept gif, jpg and png image types. The files should have dimensions of 550 pixels by 500 pixels or smaller. The files size should be smaller then 4 Mb.

If you prefer to drop off a picture, we have a drop box in front of our office at 405 26th Ave. W., Bradenton.

Note: By supplying the obituary information, you grant permission to The Bradenton Times to publish the information and agree to hold us harmless for the information made public. The internet is accessible to the world, so please be careful of content that you may not want to share.

It is recommended that you do not include full addresses, and personal information that is inappropriate to be shared and made public.
