Obituary:
Herbert L. Zeller, 87, of Manatee and Sarasota Counties, passed away April 7, 2011. He was born on January 14, 1924 in Columbus, OH, and served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a retired manager with Rockwell Aviation in Ohio. Mr. Zeller moved to Manatee/Sarasota Counties permanently over five years ago, but has been a winter resident for over 20 years. He was a member of the Northwest Baptist Church in Bradenton, the Moose Lodge and Grace Brethren Church in Columbus, OH. Predeceased by his wife Norma in 2004, and a son Dave in 2005. He is survived by three sons; Larry (Melissa) of Sarasota, Michel of Kingston, OH, and David Young of Bradenton. Brother Stan of Columbus, OH., sister, Connie Hollingsworth of Bradenton, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and his friend, Velma Stephens.
Funeral Information:
Visitation was held locally in Bradenton on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 2-3 P.M. at Northwest Baptist Church, 7913 9th Ave. N.W., Bradenton, with a Celebration of Life Service that followed at 3 P.M. Following the local services Mr. Zeller was transferred to the Newcomer Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio where committal services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the chapel at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Columbus, Ohio and with final military honors by the U.S. Air Force.
