Helen J. ''Honey'' Gillespie Sosnowski, 90, Holmes Beach, entered eternal life October 26, 2012.
She was born June 5, 1922 in Grand Rapids, MI to Bernard R. and Mary Mildred Freeman Gillespie. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rev. Robert B. Gillespie, Jack N. Gillespie; sister, Ann Gillespie Cook Casten.
She graduated from Catholic Central High School, ''Class of 40'' in Grand Rapids, MI. She worked for MI Bell Telephone Co. in Grand Rapids, MI.
She was the wife of Edie C. Sosnowski, the love of his life for 57 years and mother of 9 children: Susan A. (Raymond) Avado, Bernard E. (Vicki) Sosnowski, Wally C. (Susie) Sosnowski, Marcia J. (Jack) Neumeyer, Mary Lou (Jack) Avado, Edie, Tom, and Sally A. Sosnowski, Barbara J. (Fritz) Spotleson, Robert J. and Julia A. Sosnowski, Steve M. and Julia A. Sosnowski. Also survived by many nephews, nieces, 22 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She was a homemaker, gardener, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all that knew her.
Funeral Information:
Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11:00 A.M. Tuesday October 30, 2012 at St. Bernard Catholic Church 248 South Harbor Drive Holmes Beach, FL 34217.
