Born to Ida Puckett and Joe Cavender in Andersonville, GA she moved to Bradenton in 1996 from Fayetteville, NC and she was a Methodist.
Predeceased by husband, Roy Saunders and daughter, Dr. Mary Nell Saunders; survived by son, Wayne Saunders of Bradenton, FL; sisters, Francis Restagno of Cobb, GA and Leonne DuPree of Cordell, GA; grandchildren, Will Saunders and Dr. Katy (Matt) DeSear.
