Obituary:

Vaino Aare, 91, Bradenton, passed away on February 21, 2014. Born on December 11, 1922 in Kolga, Estonia, he graduated from Technical High School in Tallinn, Estonia in 1941 and then he graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden as an electrical engineer, power systems in 1951. During his long career he worked for several companies, starting as Design Engineer to Manager, Hydrogenerator Engineering. From 1946-1954 he worked at ASEA in Vasteras, Sweden, Canadian General Electric (Peterborough, Ontario, Canada) 1954-1966, General Electric Company (Schenectady, NY) 1966-1978, Brown Boveri Turbo-Machinery (St. Cloud, MN) 1978-1983, General Electric (Erie, PA) 1983-1984, and Sieman's Energy Automation, Inc. Large Motor & Generator Division (Ellenton, FL) 1984-1990. He was a life member of IEEE, a Lic. Professor of Engineering, NY, Reg. Professor of Engineering in Ontario, Canada. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helene; daughter, Linda (Paul) Nartis; son, Peter (Hilda) Aare; grandchildren, Markus and Merike Narits and Erika and Kristina Aare.



Funeral Information:

Memorial Service will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 6311 3rd Avenue West, Bradenton, FL, at 2:00PM on Friday March 7, 2014. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West, Bradenton, FL 34209 is in charge of arrangements. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Estonian American Fund, P.O. Box 13266, Silver Springs, MD 20911; Redeemer Lutheran Church; or a charity of one's choice.
